We have fostered children’s growth through Community Resource Centres (CRCs) offering supplementary learning, reading spaces, cultural activities, and environmental programmes. Adolescent boys’ and girls’ groups promote health, wellbeing, and life skills, while career guidance shapes aspirations. The Erode District Child Development Federation amplifies children’s voices. Our outreach ensures the inclusion of remote-area children, with many students supported in pursuing higher studies.
Women, through Self-Help Groups and federations have mobilised significant savings and accessed loans for livelihoods. Skill training in micro-enterprises, combined with seed funding and partnerships with government schemes, expands economic opportunities. Workers’ Support Groups and issue-based meetings foster women’s leadership and participation in community decision-making.
CARE, through Migrant Resource Centres and youth-focused programmes provides education, health, and welfare services, facilitates school admissions, ICDS enrolments, and access to schemes, bank accounts, and identity documents. Targeted interventions in mills and factories, supported by TANSACS, help migrant workers secure wages, access healthcare, and claim entitlements. CRCs and youth initiatives build soft skills, communication, and leadership, while partnerships with government missions and entrepreneurship programmes expand livelihood opportunities. Cultural events, career guidance, and the Call Me Priya life-skills programme foster confidence, creativity, and civic engagement.
CARE’s Integrated Rehabilitation Centres for Addicts, supported by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, offer free detoxification, medical care, counselling, and life-skills support to both migrants and youth affected by substance dependency. Operating in Erode since 1995 and Namakkal since 2007, these centres provide compassionate recovery services, enabling individuals to overcome addiction and rebuild their lives.
Since 2008, we operate a government-supported Old Age Home in Erode, offering safe housing, nutritious food, medical care, and recreational activities for elders without family support. Recognised for dignity-focused care, the home also conducts free dental and medical camps.
Serving eight villages since 1995, our Mobile Medicare Unit conducts free monthly health camps for elders, offering regular check-ups, early diagnosis, and referrals to government hospitals for specialised care.
In partnership with TANSACS, we work with vulnerable groups to promote safe practices, prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and other infections, and connect people to testing, treatment, and counselling services. Village health committees and Red Ribbon Clubs promote hygiene, education, and youth engagement.
