Centre for Action and Rural Education (CARE) is a grassroots-level, community-centred, non-governmental, and non-profit organization established in 1991 in Erode district, Tamil Nadu. Over the past three decades, CARE has grown from a small local initiative into a dynamic development organization, reaching thousands of individuals and families across Erode and Namakkal districts, covering more than 100 villages in Erode district alone. CARE adopts a holistic, participatory approach, engaging communities from need identification to implementation and review. We deliver practical, locally relevant solutions that build on community strengths and ensure long-term impact. Our work combines awareness, skill development, stakeholder engagement, and service facilitation in collaboration with government, NGOs, and civil society.
